Pinch Pot is a 3D modeling tool for creative ideation, based off the properties of clay but modified to work in a digital environment. It is meant to be used in a relaxed and playful setting that is open to experimentation. It uses a foam and silicon layers to create a satisfying sculpting surface, tilt controls to slide the cursor accross the screen and customizable buttons to cycle through settings/tools. How can 3D modeling become more approachable and enjoyable? How might we create a tool that feels like a toy?
