kindred is collection of objects that create space to slow down and connect with our roots. Informed by East/Southeast Asian craft and spirituality traditions, this project attempts to honor and carry on the culture. It has been both a deeply personal journey and a vital critique of how those in power colonize indigenous and vernacular design through commodification or downright erasure. kindred offers an atavistic return to deeply human design
